Xerox Printer - WorkCentre 4150V P review

Xerox WorkCentre of 4150V P is a voluminous multi-function machine, designed for medium-sized offices or workgroups. It works like a copier, scanner and network printer and basa in a mono laser engine, rated at 43ppm. It weighs in at just over 50 kilograms, making it physically heavy, as well as catering for most office needs. One of the most notable features of the machine is its LCD touch-screen, serving as the status display and control panel. This makes it especially easy to use, although the controls provided by the group complement one side of the physical buttons. These include a keypad, which comes into its own if you add the optional fax function.

In its current form, the local machine or network printing its 500-sheet paper tray, or simply copy of his duplex scanner glass or automatic document feeder (ADF), and scanning to a PC or e-mail. Print and copy jobs coming to rest on an output tray molded below the scanner unit and are not readily available, but may be headed by a cover, indicating the person who led the work. Just as the standard paper tray, there is a separate 100-sheet tray of food especially for the media and another two 500-sheet trays can be added as options.

The Xerox WorkCentre 4150V P may be connected locally via a USB port or through its Ethernet port to a network of offices. It works automatically with any DHCP server across drivers offered to assign itself as a resource network. Xerox copies includes PaperPort and OmniPage, Nuance, to provide the optical character recognition and document management, respectively. These are the two best applications in their fields.

The device is very easy to maintain, with a toner cartridge that requires only after the replacement of 20000 pages and a drum that should last 55000 pages. In line in the prices of these consumables are £ 80 and £ 185, which gives a 5 percent price text of the page 1.2p. This is a reasonable, although not the most economical, operating expenses for a multi-function device in this price bracket.

Print quality depends on the type of document that is producing. Text production is clean and clear, with no signs of toner spatter, and production is good for both internal and external correspondence. Add in graphics and begin to see some banding in large areas of gray tone, although this is not yet delivered and that should be suitable for internal reports. Photo images suffer more than the uneven tone, however, and this device can not be recommended for photo output - although that’s not unusual for a mono laser
